It is great to know that people are getting more active than in the past, especially older population. Also more people are leaning towards the wish for a longer life and a healthier lifestyle. A healthier lifestyle means having healthy diet and participating in physical activity, which lead to reduce stress, obesity, fall risk, cholesterol and depression.
But people should be aware of their physical limits and not to over doing it. Older people tend to forgotten about that as their spirits and energy don’t change so much as comparing with their physical body. Hence, this cause misconception to their mental that they can do it just like other people who are younger than them. Older people need to keep in mind that their bodies are degenerate as the clock tick, they have to slowly train and need longer recovery to create a strong foundation for their bodies to enable them continually in the activity that their pursuit. In summary, older people need to re-adjust themselves to find a perfect balance between their activities and recovery.

People who have been active a lot whether in work or sports, should go for a massage once bi-weekly or at least once a month. Massage is a good treatment for your body to recover faster so you can continue to pursuit the activity that you are doing.
