Benefits: This session offers immediate benefits by triggering the release of endorphins—neurotransmitters from the brain that promote feelings of well-being. It also decreases stress hormones like adrenaline, cortisol, and norepinephrine, which are known to suppress the immune system.
Initial Setup:
You will lie flat on your back and be covered with a towel. The therapist will start with a facial massage without oil, followed by a neck massage with oil. The neck will then be gently stretched.
Foot and Leg Work:
The therapist will move to your feet, performing simple reflexology to enhance blood circulation and alleviate soreness. They will gradually work their way up to your legs and thighs, incorporating stretches at the end of each section to relieve muscle spasms and promote nutrient flow.
Arm and Shoulder Treatment:
The therapist will carry out finger press techniques on your hands, forearms, and arms using light oil. Shoulder joint pressing and stretching movements will conclude the upper limb treatment.
Turning Over:
You will be asked to turn over, with a towel covering your back and legs. The therapist will uncover your legs and perform deep tissue massage on your calves and ankles. Your legs will be covered again, and your back will be uncovered for the next phase.
Back Massage:
The therapist will start with finger press techniques on your lower back, followed by deep tissue effleurage. A similar approach will be applied to your upper back, with possible use of elbows for deeper strokes if necessary.
Final Touches:
The therapist will work on your shoulders with finger press techniques and deep massage. The session will conclude with clapping movements on your back and legs, with a towel covering you. Finally, the therapist will stretch your lower back while you lie on your side and then on your back, guiding you through deep breathing to enhance the effectiveness of the movements.
