Details of the sessions – Full Hot Stone Massage

Initial Setup:
You will lie on your stomach, with your back and upper legs covered by a towel. The therapist will start by warming up your body with a few firm presses.

Back Massage:
The therapist will uncover your back and perform a gentle effleurage using oil, covering your back, shoulders, and lower neck. Note that a generous amount of oil will be used during this session. The therapist will then introduce the hot stones, starting by placing one on your shoulder for you to acclimate to its temperature. Once you’re comfortable, the therapist will proceed with a gentle effleurage using the hot stones on your back, shoulders, and lower neck. A deep tissue petrissage will follow, using the stones along your erector spinae and trapezius muscles. After completing the back, the therapist will cover your back with a towel and place several stones on top at your sacral area and along your erector spinae. Firm presses with these stones will be applied, and they will be left in place as the therapist moves on to your lower limbs.

Lower Limbs Massage:
The therapist will uncover each lower limb one at a time. Gentle effleurage with oil will be applied to your lower leg and thigh, followed by effleurage with hot stones. Petrissage with the stones will be performed on your upper thigh muscles, gradually moving down to the calf muscles. This process will be repeated for both legs. Once both legs are massaged, they will be covered with a towel, and hot stones will be placed on your thighs while the therapist moves to your arms.

Arm Massage:
The therapist will perform gentle effleurage with oil on your first arm, followed by effleurage with hot stones and petrissage with the stones. This process will be repeated on your other arm.

Front Massage:
After finishing the arm massage, the therapist will remove all placement stones and ask you to turn over, lying on your back. Your front will be covered from the chest downwards with a towel. The therapist will perform gentle effleurage with oil on your shoulders and neck, followed by effleurage with hot stones and petrissage.

Facial Massage:
Small warm stones will be placed around your forehead and chin. The therapist will then perform a facial massage with their hands while the stones remain on your face.

Completion:
After the facial massage, the therapist will remove all placement stones from your face, shoulders, and neck. The session concludes with the therapist leaving the room to allow you to rest for a few minutes on the table before you take a shower.
